Cole’s Garlic Meatball Subs
Ingredients
2 loaves Coles Original 16 oz. Garlic Bread
1 pkg. frozen (40 ct) Italian Style Meatballs
2 jars favorite Pasta Sauce (I prefer Prego Traditional)
6 oz. mozzarella cheese
Directions
Pre-heat oven and prepare Coles Garlic Bread as directed on package.
While oven is preheating, pour meatballs and both jars of pasta sauce into large saucepan and heat until boiling.
Once it comes to a boil, turn down to medium heat, stir and cook until meatballs are cooked through, stirring often.
To assemble, scoop, or tear 1/2 of soft, buttery center part of garlic bread out of 1 entire loaf of bread. (don’t discard bread pieces! See below for ideas/uses)
Place meatballs and pasta sauce in wells created in the garlic bread.
Top meatballs and sauce with mozzarella, then with remaining loaf of bread and slice each big sandwich into 4-6 smaller sandwiches.
These are GREAT for a quick, easy, delicious weeknight meal, and just as perfect for a game day sandwich platter! Grab some napkins and ENJOY!
Ways to use that soft, buttery inside of the garlic bread:
Toss it in a bread bowl and dip or
Toss in a food processor and blitz and place in a freezer bag and you have the most amazing bread crumbs for meatloaf or casserole toppers!
