Garlic Bread Breakfast Casserole
Ingredients
Cole’s Garlic bread (toasted and cubed)
1 pound pork sausage, browned and well-drained
5 eggs, lightly beaten
1 large jar of sliced mushrooms (you can use fresh but they would need to be sauteed first)
1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
2 & 3/4 cups milk
1/4 tsp dry mustard
Salt and Pepper to tast
2 cups grated cheese (Use your favorite)
Directions
Place Cole’s garlic bread in the bottom of a 9 × 13 inch casserole dish that has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.
Brown the sausage and drain well.
Sprinkle the sausage over the garlic bread cubes.
Mix together milk, eggs, mushroom soup, mushrooms, salt, pepper and dry mustard.
You can additional items at this point if you like such as jalapenmo peppers, onion, or green peppers)
Pour the mixture over the garlic bread/sausage mixture.
Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight.
Preheat overn to 325 degrees F. and remove casserole from the
refrigerator.
Allow to come to room temperature, approximately 45 min.
Remove the cover and bake in the oven 50 to 60 minutes or utnil casserole is set and puffed.
The last 5 minutes cover the top with cheese and bake until melted.
Allow the casserole to sit for 5 minutes to firm up.
This makes it easier to serve.
Serves 10 to 12.
