Steve’s Quick Cuban

Ingredients:

7-9 thin slices of ham
7-9 thin slices roast pork OR 1 cup of pulled pork roast (hot or cold)
7-9 thin slices of Swiss cheese
3 or 4 slices of dill pickle stackers (Long ways sliced)
1 Cole’s Original Garlic Bread (16oz.)
Mayonnaise
Yellow Mustard

You will also need two cast iron skillets or a sandwich press.

Directions:

In a conventional oven, preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Place whole frozen Cole’s Original Garlic Bread OPEN-FACED on a cookie sheet .
Heat 6 to 7 minutes only and remove from oven.
Allow to cool to the touch before proceeding.
Place both cast iron skillets in oven (Or heat sandwich press to 425 degrees).
Spread Mayonnaise and Mustard on both halves of loaf.
On the top half, put the cheese, pickles, roasted pork, ham and lower half of loaf in that order.
Cut loaf into three portions-Make sure to cut at a long angle so the sandwich portions have a long point on them.
Remove cast iron skillets from oven.
Add butter to the outside of the sandwiches.
Place in one of the cast iron skillets. (Or use sandwich press)
Place the other cast iron skillet on top of the sandwich to use it like a sandwich press and place back in oven for 4-6 minutes or until outside of bread is crunchy and cheese is melted.
Remove from oven and serve with chips and Cole slaw.
