GRAND RAPIDS, January 18, 2010 – Cole’s Muskegon, Michigan and North Liberty, Iowa based manufacturing facilities have been evaluated by the AIB International Certification Body and have met the requirements of the British Retail Consortium (BRC) Global Standard for Food Safety, achieving an A grade. The BRC Global Standard for Food Safety is the leading global product safety and quality certification program used by certificated suppliers in over 100 countries. The BRC Global Standard for Food Safety was developed to specify the safety, quality and operational criteria required to be in place within a food manufacturing organization to fulfill obligations with regard to legal compliance and protection of consumers.
