2nd SHIFT MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR – Food Plant

Our North Liberty, Iowa location has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Supervisor who will be part of the leadership team.

Hours are Sunday thru Thursday.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist Maintenance Manager with leadership of the department team members and workflow.
  • Assist with leading the activities in the repair, maintenance & installation of equipment.
  • Assist with the preventative maintenance program.
  • Assist with the training, coaching and development of department team members to meet current and future business requirements.
  • Helps with the updating of maintenance procedures for servicing the plant.
  • Helps with the essential record keeping.
  • Provide supervision and support to all department team members, delegate assignments, motivate and counsel.
  • Understand and adhere to internal and external regulations (including Federal, State, City and OSHA), policies and procedures.
  • Follow food safety practices and work safely to promote a safe work environment.
  • Work with other management in a positive, productive manner.

Key Qualifications

  • 4 plus years’ experience in manufacturing environment, food industry experience is a plus.
  • Prior maintenance supervisory experience required.
  • High School diploma or GED – Technical diploma preferred
  • Basic understanding of electrical, heating/cooling, ventilation, machine operations, welding process piping and general building maintenance.
  • Understanding of safety codes and applicable governing regulations.
  • Strong trouble shooting skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective directing and counseling.
  • Ability to handle multiple areas of job duties on a daily basis in a fast paced environment.

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Description of Duties: Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. Includes performing maintenance duties as assigned including, but not limited to the following: providing emergency/unscheduled and preventative maintenance on production equipment; perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines. and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service; using MP2 keep notes on PM’s , track labor hours, and write work orders for any jobs preformed that are not already in the MP2 maintenance system. May be required to work in production as directed. Good communication skills with both management and co-workers in area.

Qualifications: Ability to be heavy lift certified. Ability to work in a fast paced environment, as well as both on a team and alone. Ability to work in various environmental conditions. Four or more years manufacturing experience. Requires a high school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance qualification. Gold Work Keys Certification preferred.

Shift: Shift assignment after probationary period by Seniority (rotating 12 hr shift 7 am/pm to 7 am/pm)

Rate: Commensurate with current maintenance skill level.
